Hello ! How lovely and thank you for choosing our plastic-free "Kitchen" sticker set. Like all our BADALA products, these have been developed with children, for children, and will transform any cardboard box into a sustainable toy in no time at all, which will fire your kids' imagination and keep them busy for hours.
This sticker edition was produced especially for ADLI SUISSE and is currently only available in Switzerland.
The craft instructions.
You can make great kitchen elements out of cardboard boxes of all sizes. To transform the cardboard boxes into a cooker or a dishwasher you need:
- Shipping box
- Wallpaper knife or cutter (to be used by adults only)
- Or alternatively scissors
- Ruler
- Adhesive tape
If you prefer a space-saving children's kitchen, turn a shipping box into a cooker and dishwasher at the same time.
Step 1:
Open the flaps and close the box.
Step 2:
Always turn the side of the cardboard you want to stick on upwards so that you can press the stickers firmly into place. Now apply the stickers according to your mood and imagination. There is no right or wrong 🙂
This makes every single play kitchen unique.
Because there is not enough room for the oven control panel above the oven sticker, we stuck it on a side panel. If you have a taller cardboard box handy, you can position the control panel directly above the oven to match the oven, as in this example:
Step 3:
Cut out the oven on 3 sides (do not let children handle knife or cutter alone). The bottom of our shipping box is also the fold-out bow.
Cut out a small corner (finger width) so that the oven can be opened easily.
Step 4:
Our dishwasher goes on an extra box.
Here you also cut a door, including a small corner as a door handle.
To make the bottom edge bend nicely, score a line with the ruler and a pencil (alternatively a cutter - be careful not to handle it without an adult!).
This allows the front of the dishwasher door to be opened and closed in a nice straight line.
Now set up the kitchen as you like and distribute the dots as decoration or additional buttons on your kitchen appliances.
Step 5:
Snap the remaining stickers ...
and glue it onto an additional piece of cardboard.
TIP: Single flute cardstock is best for cutting out for delicate children's hands 🙂
Now cut out the food and the cooker is ready to go.
